JAMMU, Sept 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police in RS Pura area today claimed to have solved a theft case with the arrest of two individuals and recovery of stolen water-motors from their possession.
A police official said a case FIR number 194/2025 under Section 303(2) BNS was registered at Police Station RS Pura on the written complaint of one Dinesh Sharma son of Tulla Ram Sharma of Kotli Gala Bana of Tehsil RS Pura, who alleged theft of water-motors.
During investigation in the case, he said, two suspects, identified as Anil Kumar alias Kaka and Neeraj Kumar, both residents of Ward Number 4, RS Pura, District Jammu, were detained for questioning.
During sustained questioning, the police official further said that the duo confessed to their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure, the stolen property was recovered from their possession by a team of Police Station RS Pura, led by SHO concerned, RS Parihar, under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu, IH Rather, and SDPO RS Pura, Gurmeet Singh.
According to him, further investigation in the case is underway as more arrests and recoveries are expected.
