TCS starts onboarding 600 professionals after NITES push

BENGALURU, Sept 27: After months of uncertainty, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has begun issuing onboarding emails to a majority of over 600 professionals who were left waiting despite having job offers, following continuous efforts by the Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) and the intervention of the union Labour Ministry.
According to NITES President Harpreet Singh Saluja, many of these professionals had already resigned from their previous jobs or relocated on the basis of commitments made by TCS, leaving them to struggle with financial and emotional distress.
“This development is a significant victory for employees and for NITES’ continued fight to protect their rights. It also shows that when employees stand united and raise their voice through the right forums, justice is possible even against the biggest corporations,” Saluja said in a statement.
He added that NITES will continue monitoring the situation to ensure that all affected professionals get relief and to prevent such practices from being repeated in the future. (UNI)
