JAMMU, Sept 26: Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu organized CME cum training on Good Clinical Practice and new Clinical Drug Trial Rule 2019 and IEC as per DHR, ICMR guidelines.
Principal and Dean GMC Jammu, Dr Ashutosh Gupta, in his keynote address appreciated the IEC GMC Jammu for organizing this CME and updating the Institution regarding the Good Clinical Practice and new Clinical Drug Trial Rule 2019 as per DHR, ICMR guidelines-2017. He also encouraged the participating delegates to promote medical research in their respective subjects.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Kuldeep Krishan Sharma, Chairman IEC GMC Jammu, gave the overview and the future roadmap of IEC GMC Jammu.
Faculty for this event included Dr Nusrat Shafiq, Professor, Deptt of Pharmacology, PGIMER Chandigarh; Dr Monica Behl, Founder and MD, Shodh Clinicals; Lotika Khajuria, Drug Controller, Drugs Control & Food Safety Organisation, Jammu & Kashmir; Dr Seema Gupta, Professor & HoD, Deptt of Pharmacology; Dr Vishal R Tandon, Professor, Deptt of Pharmacology; Dr Sanjay K Bhasin, Professor, Deptt of Surgery and Prof Uma Ranjan from IIT Jammu who delivered lectures on various topics regarding Good Clinical Practice and new Clinical Drug Trial Rule 2019 and IEC as per DHR, ICMR guidelines 2017 and Ethical issues with AI in Medical Science.
This CME was attended by more than 60 delegates including the IEC GMC Jammu members, faculty members, senior residents, post graduate students of various departments and medical professionals from other states.
The CME concluded on a high note with vote of thanks by Dr Sandeep Digra, Prof & HoD, Dept of Microbiology, GMC Jammu.
The CME was aiming to enhance awareness and compliance among IEC members, faculty members, senior resident, PG students and clinical researchers regarding Good Clinical Practice and new Clinical Drug Trial Rule 2019 as per DHR, ICMR guidelines 2017.
