Sir,
The Central Govt has taken a citizen friendly decisions and have done away with the colonial practice requiring citizens to get their documents/credentials attested by a Gazetted Officer or its equivalent rank and have empowered the individual to get their document self attested. Our citizens and villagers in general and students community in particular used to run from pillar to post just to get their documents attested.
This sort of practice is still in vogue in our State which was introduced in our country by the Britishers since they did not trust Indians. It is high time now that our State Govt should also come forward and replace the present system of getting documents attested by a Gazetted Officer and people should be allowed to get their documents self attested. This would help the people in saving their precious time and money.
Even it would be a realistic decision if educated unemployed youths, while applying for appointment in different Departments be allowed to submit their requisite application forms alone to the concerned Department. Their original documents to be verified and checked only at the time of their final selection/interview. This would certainly help them to feel mentally relaxed and also save their pockets from unnecessary burden.
Yours etc….
