JAMMU, Sept 25: Notorious gangster Royal Singh, who is wanted for his involvement in several criminal cases in Jammu and Punjab, was brought to Jammu from Mumbai by a team of Police Station Bus Stand today.
Earlier, he was arrested by Maharashtra Police from Mumbai Airport while he was trying to flee outside the country.
He was later produced in a court in Mumbai that granted his transit remand to the Jammu and Kashmir Police till September 27.
Police sources said Singh was brought to the town in a private flight that landed at the Jammu Airport around 8:40 AM, from where he was taken to Police Station Bus Stand, where Singh, along with two other individuals, were wanted in connection with FIR number 53/2025 under the relevant sections of the law.
Pertinently, the other two wanted individuals-Jaspreet Singh and Amandeep Singh-have already been arrested by the police from Anantnag district.
Sources further said after investigation, Royal Singh was handed over to Police Station Gandhi Nagar, where he’s facing another case related to brandishing weapon at the hotel staff.
