JAMMU, Sept 23: A first ever, the history of Dogri language, literature and music video and paath of a ‘Dogri Ramayan Mala’, was released during a function organized by Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS), held here today.
The path and video is written, sung and produced by renowned Dogri Writer/Artist/ Filmmaker Dr Nasib Singh Mahhas.
On this occasion, a YouTube Channel titled “Duggar Talkie’ owned by Dr Nasib Singh Manhas representing Dogri, Art Culture Language and Heritage of Dogras, was also launched.
The channel was launched keeping in view his sincere dedication service for promotion of Art, Culture and Language of Dogras.
Earlier, Dr Manhas was felicitated by Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS).
They presented Mata ki Chunri and a bouquet to Dr Manhas and prayed for the success of his great work in Maa Boli Dogri which will also encourage the younger generation to understand the simple and sweet Dogri Dialect.
Among others who graced the event included Prof Anupama Sharma, Dogra Harish Kaila, Narinder Singh Chib, Randhir Singh Raipuria, Ravi Sharma, Kamal Sharma and Meena Manhas.
