JAMMU, Sept 22: A community outreach programme organized by the All India Swetamber Sthanakwasi Jain Conference, (AISSJC) New Delhi (Youth Wing – J&K), was held here today.
The programme was organized with the blessings of Mahasadhvi Shri Kiran Ji Maharaj by the J&K Youth Wing of AISSJC at District Jail, Amphalla, where fruits and other items were distributed among approximately 750 inmates.
The initiative was aimed at spreading compassion and inclusivity during the sacred period of Navratras and to commemorate the 84th birthday of Acharya Samrat Dr Shiv Muni ji Maharaj.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep Jain (Sunny), national secretary, All India Jain Conference, New Delhi, expressed that the Jain community had come to celebrate Navratras with them and conveyed hope that they would soon rejoin mainstream society as responsible and contributing citizens.
Dharmender Katoch, Superintendent, District Jail, Amphalla and his team provided full support to this initiative.
Among others who were present during the program included, Narinder Kumar Jain, Pankaj Jain, Rajeev Jain, Amit Jain, Neerav Jain and Sanchit Jain.
