First ever ‘Dogri Ramayan Mala’ video album released

JAMMU, Sept 22: The video presentation of ‘Dogri Ramayan Mala’ was released here today.
The unique creation has been written, sung and produced by renowned Dogri writer, television and film director, Dr. Nasib Singh Manhas. The monumental work presents the entire Ramayana in Dogri language, artistically condensed into 108 verses.
Sat Sharma, J&K BJP president was chief guest on this occasion while Purushottam Dadhichi, president Sanatan Dharma Sabha J&K was guest of honour.
The event was jointly organized by Team Jammu, Pancham Society for Art, Culture, Education & Social Upliftment and Duggar Baradari.
Secretary Cultural Department, B.M Sharma, Padam Shree Romalo Ram, Padam Shree Mohan Singh Slathia, president, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu, Arun Gupta, Dr. Kasturi Lal Gupta, Maj Gen (retd) S.K Sharma, former president Press Club of Jammu, Ashwani Kumar, Neha Gupta, Rajesh Gupta and Dr Sanjay Sharma, Randheer Singh Raipuria and Neha Mahajan were among others were also present on the occasion.
Sat Sharma said that release of Dogri Ramayan Mala is a new milestone in Dogri literature, music and culture.
Purushottam Dadhichi described the Dogri Ramayan Mala as a remarkable addition to both religion and literature.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, chairman, Team Jammu said that Dogri Ramayan Mala is not just a creative achievement but a cultural treasure also.
The proceedings were conducted by Raj Kumar Behrupia.
