22KISHTWAR, Sept 21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pankaj Kumar Sharma inspected the pace of progress on the ongoing developmental projects in Kishtwar town and its adjoining areas, today.
The DC inspected development works around Gauri Shankar Mandir Sarkoot, the Historic Chowgan Ground and Adarsh Dramatic Club.
At the sacred Gauri Shankar Temple Sarkoot, the DC offered prayers and directed the BDO to take immediate measures to prevent household waste from flowing into the Sarkoot Pond. He also instructed the concerned department to complete the construction of the boundary wall around the temple and pond, along with cleaning and restoring the pond’s water.
Reviewing the progress of the Turf Pitch at the Historic Chowgan Ground, the DC emphasized the importance of quality and timely execution of the project.
At Adarsh Dramatic Club, the DC assessed the ongoing development works and instructed the PWD (R&B) Department to thoroughly review the steel structure erected for public seating.
The DC was accompanied by Tehsildar Kishtwar, Nirbhay Sharma, along with other senior officers.
