JAMMU, Sept 18: Industrialist Parveen Pargal from Jammu & Kashmir has been appointed as All India Executive Member of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) for the 2025-2027 term.
His appointment was announced at the three-day All India Executive Committee and Annual General Meeting of LUB, held from September 13 to 15 at Samalkha, Panipat (Haryana). The event was attended by more than 1,500 delegates from across the country.
Pargal, who is also serving as the State President of LUB Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, has been given this national responsibility to further strengthen the voice of micro, small and medium industries at the national level.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders of the organisation, including Sah-Sarkaryavah Dr Krishna Gopal and All India Organisation Secretary Prakash Chand.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Gopal said that small and medium industries can grow only when entrepreneurs gain proper knowledge and access to Government schemes, enabling them to become self-reliant.
The convention also saw the election of new office bearers at the national level.
Madhusudan Dadu was appointed National President, Om Prakash Gupta as National General Secretary, Arvind Dhumal as National Vice President for the North Zone, and Anju Bajaj, who is also J&K Prabhari, as National Secretary.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Pargal said that LUB is the world’s largest organisation of small industries with over 62,000 members, spread across 1,060 industrial towns and 600 districts of India.
He added that the organisation is dedicated to the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the nation.
State office bearers of LUB Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh also joined the convention.
