JAMMU, Sept 17: The District Udhampur unit of the National Conference, under the leadership of District President Sunil Verma, today distributed relief among the affected families of Tharad,Bali,Samroli, & Mourd Villages of Block Narsoo, District Udhampur, who have been rendered homeless due to recent devastation in the area.
On behalf of party president Dr. Farooq Abdullah, relief material in the form of blankets was provided through provincial president Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta. A total of 50 affected families, who have completely lost their households, were extended immediate assistance in the drive organized by the district unit.
Speaking on the occasion, Verma assured the victims that the National Conference stands with them in this hour of crisis and reiterated the party’s unwavering commitment towards the welfare and rehabilitation of the affected communities. He urged the people of the district to always remain in touch with him and the party unit for any help or grievance, assuring that no family would be left unattended.
