MUMBAI, Sept 16: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana visited Anjuman-I-Islam, Maharashtra’s largest educational institution, and hailed its 150 years of service to education and nation-building. The visit came on the sidelines of the Parliamentary Committee’s ongoing engagements in Mumbai.
Founded in 1874, Anjuman-I-Islam has grown into a vast educational network comprising 100 institutions, including primary and secondary schools, engineering, pharmacy, and architecture colleges. Today, it serves over 1.20 lakh students with the support of more than 3,500 teaching staff, Khatana said.
Khatana praised the institution as “a beacon of learning and service to society,” and said such establishments deserve “every possible support to expand their reach.”
