SRINAGAR, Sept 16: The Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Iltija Mufti today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
She apprised the Lieutenant Governor on the issues of J&K’s Apple growers and traders in view of the disruption of vehicular movement on Srinagar- Jammu National Highway.
She also requested for early restoration of National Highway, smooth movement of fruit-laden trucks and compensation to affected farmers.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, District Srinagar called on Lieutenant Governor.
The members of the delegation briefed the Lieutenant Governor on the upcoming commemorative event observing the 350th Martyrdom Day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in Srinagar.
