KPs observe 37th Martyrs Day across country

JAMMU, Sept 14: Panun Kashmir (PK) today observed Balidan Diwas by dedicating it to the Martyrs of the Kashmiri Hindu community and the Security Forces at Manhas Sabha Ground, Paloura, here. The event carried profound spiritual and historical significance with the introduction and installation of the Veer Jyoti, a flame consecrated to the memory of the Martyrs of seven centuries of genocide.

The programme was moderated by Pyare Lal Raina.
Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Chairman PK, in his address dwelt upon the meaning of the Veer Jyoti and explained the sacred shloka inscribed on it, which is recognized in Sanskrit philosophical circles as the spiritual definition of Veerta (bravery). He stressed how Sanskrit formulations and sacred concepts have historically acted as vital instruments for preserving the religious ethnicity and cultural distinctiveness of Kashmiri Hindus against all assaults.
He emphasized that the Veer Jyoti is not merely a flame of memory but a pledge of identity, continuity, and resistance until the community achieves justice and its rightful homeland.
On the occasion musical tribute by Kanwal Peshin, Lavanya Koul, Pranav Pandita, and Nitish, were given.
Following mantra chanting, senior leaders of PK including Dr. Ajay Chrungoo, Dayji Kaul, Nancy Koul, Prof. Tito Ganju, Kuldeep Raina, P L Koul , Raj Nath Raina and Behari Lal Kaul lit the Veer Jyoti and dedicated it to the Martyrs of the Kashmiri Hindu genocide as well as to the Martyrs of the Security Forces who laid down their lives for the nation.
On behalf of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the entire security establishment, Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG Jammu, paid floral tribute at the Veer Jyoti. His presence symbolized the collective homage of the Security Forces who have stood shoulder to shoulder with the community, sacrificing their lives in the fight against terrorism. In his tribute, he underscored that the valour and supreme sacrifices of the Security Personnel and the Kashmiri Hindu Martyrs are part of a shared history of resistance, and the Amar Jyoti would serve as a unifying flame of remembrance for both.
In a carcade accompanied by hundreds of activists, the Veer Jyoti was then taken to the sacred Bhadrakali Temple, Thalwal, where it was installed as the Amar Jyoti. Amid spirited chants and slogans, the leadership of PK declared that the Amar Jyoti shall remain lit till the creation of the homeland, after which it will take its final place in the permanent memorial to be raised at the temple site.
Glowing tribute were also paid to Martyrs of September 14 by Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha led by its Chairman Ramesh Chander Mahajan. A large number of activists attended function in which two minutes silence was observed in the memory of Martyrs especially Tika Lal Taploo who fell to bullets of terrorists on this day in 1989 at Srinagar.
Activists of Youth4PanunKashmir (Y4PK) observed Kashmiri Hindu Balidan Diwas with unflinching resolve to reclaim their homeland, drawing strength from decades of exile consciousness. The primary event in Pune witnessed a massive gathering.
Swami Kumar Ji, R.P. Razdan president, Kashmiri Hindu Sabha and leading Pune-based organizations like Bharat Bharti led by Sameer Pandya, Kranti Petkar of Hindu Jan Jagruti Samiti along with Sadhaks joined the programme in solidarity.
Speaking on the occasion, Swami Kumar Ji emphasized carrying forward the struggle to its logical conclusion.
The highlight of the evening was the youth-led execution of the entire programme under the mentorship of Sunil Raina, vice president, Y4PK.
The programme included the launch of the dedicated website kashmiripanditmartyrs.com. Y4PK leaders Rahul Kaul, Rohit Bhat, and Rajesh Kachru addressed the gathering, reiterating the community’s resolve for a secure and dignified homeland.
ASKPC in collaboration with Mata Badri Kali Asthapan Trust, Thalwal organised Shradhanjali function under the leadership of Moti Lal Malla its Margdarshak in which glowing tribute were paid to Martyrs. Former MLC, Girdhari Lal Raina, senior journalist, Shiban Khybri, Parshotam Dadichi president Shiksha Samiti, Dr Ramesh Bhat and S L Koul were among others to pay tribute to Taika Lal Taploo. The organisations which participated included All India Kashmiri Pandit Conference (AIKPC), All Displaced Kashmir United Front, Vyeth, Shree Maha Ganesh Asthapan Chawalgam, Durga Nagar Welfare Committee, Vikas Sangthan, Zeshta Mata Trust, Amar Balidan Trust etc.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) observed the September 14 as Black Day as usual in protest against the failure of successive Governments in providing justice to genocide Hindu victims from Kashmir Valley. KPC chief, Kundan Kashmiri while addressing his activists at Delhi on the occasion reiterated the rehabilitation of Pandits in a separate homeland in the Valley saying entire community is unanimous on this demand.
Another function was held by ASKPC led by its president, R K Wangno at its headquarters Durga Nagar in which glowing tribute were paid to Martyrs. On the occasion besides the Martyrs of last 36 years who fell to the bullets of terrorists tribute were also paid to the Martyrs of 1931.
R K Wangnoo in his address urged the Government to ensure safe and secure rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
The Balidan Diwas was also observed by Vision Kashmir led by Sunil Fotedar and All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee led by Desh Rattan, KP social activists including Sunil Pandita, Vinod Pandita and Sanjay Dhar Vitasta Samaj Sewa led by Chand Ji Khar and Action Committee TRT Nagrota at different places today.
PM Package employees at Mattan, Anantnag under the leadership of Ranjan Jyotshi also observed Balidan Diwas today and distributed sweet water. On the occasion tribute were paid to Taploo and other martyrs including Armed Forces, Para Military forces personnel and JK Policemen who fell to bullets of terrorism during turmoil.
Kashmiri Samiti, Delhi observed Kashmiri Pandits Martyrs day and paid floral tribute to Community Martyrs at Lagpat Nagar Delhi Community Hall of Arya Samaj Mandir, under the leadership of its president Sumeer Chrungoo and paid tribute to Martyrs.
