JAMMU, Sept 13: Glowing tribute were paid to former vice president of BJP J&K and a veteran political leader, Pt Tika Lal Taploo on his 37th martyrdom day at a function organised by BJP Kashmir Displaced District here, today. BJP JK UT president, Sat Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion and Rajiv Pandita, president Displaced District chaired the function.
Prominent who attended the programme were party general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, BJP spokesperson and ex MLC, G L Raina, Chand Jee Bhat, district Prabari KDD, senior leaders Bharat Bushan Gosani, Sweety Koul besides prominent Kashmiri Pandit leader, Moti Lal Malla, Ashok Ji Braroo , and K.K.Khosa ,president Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS).
Sat Sharma paid heartfelt tributes to martyrs Tika Lal Taploo, Pt. Prem Nath Bhat and others including armed forces, Parliamentary forces and J&K police personnel who laid down their lives for the nation. He said that Tika Lal Taploo and Pt.Prem Nath Bhat were the symbol of nationalism, unity and integrity of India for which great leader Dr. Shayma Parsad Mukherjee also had laid down his life.
He assured that BJP is always with Kashmiri displaced community and he will strive to redress all the grievances of the displaced community.
Paying tribute to Taploo and Pt.Prem Nath Bhat, Ashok Koul, said these two KP leaders foresaw what was going to be the future of Kashmiri Hindus and other nationalist forces in Kashmir but they acted like iron shield to safeguard the minority community till their last breath.
In his address Rajeev Pandita said that assassination of Tika Lal Taploo was aimed to hit the pillar of the nationalism in Kashmir as he had openly challenged the terrorists and their mentors across the border like a roaring lion and he had become an eyesore for them. Chand Jee Bhat, district Prabari KDD said that the martyrdom of Tika Lal Taploo send shock waves among the Kashmiri Hindus across the Valley and a silent migration started from this very day.
While Speaking in the Programme, Ajey Bharti former MLC spokesperson of the party said “We remember Tika Lal Taploo , Pt.Prem Nath Bhat and other martyrs on 13 th September every year to draw inspiration that we have to prepare for a long battle to defeat antinational forces to pave a way for our rehabilitation back in Kashmir”.
On this occasion , Jeevika Misri ( student of Cyber security) and Kartik Bhat ( MBBS 3RD year student) from Sharika Foundation Volunteers presented a poem on Tika Lal Taploo and Paper on Visthapan ,” Tents to Triumps” respectively.
As per the tradition members of two Shaheed Parivars were Samiti by chief guest.
