DODA, Aug 2: To mitigate people’s grievances, senior Congress leader and MLA Inderwal, G M Saroori today visited Khara area of Inderwal constituency and held public darbar to take stock of the people’s problems and developmental needs.
The people apprised Saroori about the problems being faced by them in their areas. The problems highlighted by people mainly related to health, roads, new ration cards for BPL, potable drinking water, replacement of transformers and payment of MGNREGA job card holders.
Saroori issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers to immediately address the problems highlighted by the people of 14 Panchayats of Khara area.
Addressing the public, Saroori said that the Government is committed to provide better facilities to the people of rural and far flung areas and several steps in this direction have been initiated. He said during the past twelve years in his tenure, his (Saroori) main focus was to upgrade the infrastructure in rural areas.
He lauded the people of Khara Bhalessa for keeping the torch of communal harmony and brotherhood lighting even under difficult circumstances. He asked them to maintain and strengthen this characteristic and not to get astray by vested interests who try to divide them on region, religion, creed or caste for selfish ends.
Later Saroori opened the office of Tehsil Supply Officer (TSO) at Khara in presence of large number of people. After opening new TSO office at Khara, Saroori said the TSO office will help in smooth distribution and supply of ration in this backward and unconnected area of the district.
