JAMMU, Sept 10: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jhajjar Kotli area today claimed to have arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 12 years.
Raj Kumar of Chowki Naushera, Rajouri, was wanted in connection with a criminal case registered under FIR number 77/2007 under sections 270, 337, and 338 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC) at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, a police official said.
According to him, a warrant under section 512 of the CrPC was also issued against him by the competent court.
The warrant was executed today when a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli, led by SHO Vikas Dogra, apprehended the accused, he said, adding that the accused will be produced before the court tomorrow.
