JAMMU, Sept 9: Gharota Police today arrested an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past year.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ikhlaq, son of Mohammad Razak, resident of Gursai, Mendhar (Poonch). He was wanted in a criminal case, with warrants under Section 512 CrPC issued against him.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Police Station Gharota, led by the Station House Officer Inspector Sandip Katoch apprehended the accused. He will be produced before the court tomorrow.
