MSJK stages protest against PHE

JAMMU, Sept 8: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration under the leadership of their president, Sunil Dimple and expressed resentment against PHE for acute sacristy of drinking water in Jammu city.
Addressing the protesters Dimple claimed that flood victims have not received any financial help from the Government.
“After 3 three days water supply was made only for ten minutes and there is huge shortage of drinking water in Jammu city and many areas have no power supply,” he maintained adding: “PHE Department collects hefty tariffs from public but has a defunct system for water supply.”
The MSJK leader also said that if water supply is not restored soon then the public will start agitation.
He further demanded immediate distribution of relief financial package for the repairs of damaged houses in heavy rains and free ration to the calamity hit people for three months.
Prominent among protesters were Ashok Sharma, Gopal, Vikram Singh, Partap Singh, Balwant Kumar, Gopal Das and others.
