JAMMU, Sept 8: Police here today rescued a minor boy from kidnapers.
As per reports on September 6, 2025 one Rinku Dogra, of Sector-F, Sainik Colony, Jammu lodged a written report at Police Post Sainik Colony stating that his son Ekluvya, 11, was kidnapped by some unknown persons from outside his home.
Acting promptly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered and a massive search operation was launched. Multiple Police teams were constituted to trace the kidnapped boy. More than 50 CCTV footages were analyzed and technical surveillance was undertaken.
Due to the sincere and coordinated efforts of teams led by SHO Police Station Channi Himmat and Incharge Police Post Sainik Colony, under the supervision of SDPO East and SP South and overall supervision of SSP Jammu, one of the teams successfully traced the boy to Haryana, from where he was safely rescued within 24 hours and was handed over to his parents after completion of legal formalities.
During the course of inquiry, it came to notice that the boy, despite his tender age, was in touch with certain drug addicts and was in the habit of going out in the evenings to parks without parental supervision. Such vulnerabilities can expose children to serious risks.
Police has urged all parents and guardians to remain vigilant and work hand in hand with Police to safeguard the future of our children.
