JAMMU, Sept 7: Department of Pediatrics, GMC Jammu in collaboration with National Neonatology Forum (NNF) J&K Branch today conducted Divisional Round of 27th National Neonatology Quiz for post graduate students at SMGS Hospital Jammu.
Postgraduate students of GMC Jammu, GMC Udhampur, ASCOMS Jammu and AIIMS Vijaypur Jammu participated in this quiz competition.
Professor & Head Department of Pediatrics, GMC Jammu, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Digra, briefed the audience about this mega academic event being organized in the Department every year. He said that the objective of organizing NNF National Neonatology Quiz is to promote in-depth understanding of neonatology among postgraduate medical students and young doctors and to foster healthy academic competition and raise the standard of neonatal care education across institutions.
The quiz competition was won by Team AIIMS Vijaypur comprising of Dr Rupayan Poddar and Dr Sachith. Team GMC Jammu comprising of Dr Ankur Jain and Dr Shazia Altaf was the 1st Runner-up and Team ASCOMS Jammu comprising of Dr Amber Sharma and Dr Anmol Khajuria was the 2nd Runner-up.
Dr. Sunil Dutt Sharma, Professor Pediatrics, GMC Jammu was the Divisional Coordinator for this NNF National Neonatology Quiz. He e said that this platform gives opportunity to the students for assessing clinical knowledge, problem-solving, and application of principles in neonatology.
Prof Dr Sanjeev K Digra, Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma and Prof Dr Mohd Razaq were the judges for this quiz competition. The team of faculty members of Department of Pediatrics GMC Jammu comprising of Assistant Professors: Dr Anumodan Gupta; Dr Pooja Bharti; Dr Mousin Mustafa Batt, Dr Pallavi Sharma, Dr Raman Sharma; Dr Priyanka Sharma and Pediatrician Dr Ajay Choudhary conducted proceedings of this event.
The event was attended by Dr Deepak Gupta, Consultant Pediatrics, GMC Udhampur and Dr Radhika Uppal, Assistant Professor Pediatrics, AIIMS Vijaypur and other Pediatricians of Jammu.
