JAMMU, Sept 7: In a significant operation, Police Station Satwari, with the valuable assistance of local residents, successfully apprehended three hardcore criminals in possession of illegal arms and ammunition.
The operation, carried out under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Sunil Jasrotia, led to the recovery of a Desi Katta along with seven live cartridges from the accused.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Jagandeep Singh alias Ruble, S/o Gurdeep Singh, R/o village Tinday, tehsil RS Pura, who is involved in multiple attempt-to-murder cases and is a close associate of the Abbu Jatt Gang of R S Pura; Parshotam Choudhary alias Posha, S/o Shani Raj, R/o village Rathua, Ghoamanasha; and Uplaksh Choudhary alias Laksh, S/o Romesh Kumar, R/o village Suryachack, Phallian Mandal.
Cognizance of the matter has been taken and further legal proceedings are underway in accordance with the law. The illegal arms and ammunition have been seized and properly secured as evidence while the accused remain in police custody. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain any wider criminal connections and to prevent further unlawful activities in the area.
