JAMMU, Sept 6: A notorious bovine smuggler was booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Jhajjar Kotli area here today.
Mohammad Kaleem of Village Tarah, Tehsil Dansal, District Jammu, was booked under PSA for his repeated engagement in criminal/bovine smuggling activities, thereby hurting sentiments of a particular community, a police official said.
According to him, multiple FIRs had been registered against the criminal for indulging in criminal activities, but he was not mending his ways.
He said an arrest warrant against the accused was also issued by the competent authorities which got executed today by a team of police station Jhajjar Kotli led by PSI Tanveer Sharma.
Pertinently, four PSAs were slapped against the bovine smugglers and one booked under PIT NDPS Act in the year 2024 while 5 PSA warrants were executed in the current year against the bovine smugglers in Sub-Division Nagrota.
