Srinagar, Sep 5: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday reviewed the post-flood situation in Jammu and Kashmir, directing officials to step up relief and preparedness measures in the affected areas.
According to a post shared on X by the Office of the CM, Omar Abdullah instructed reinforcement of weak embankments, evacuation from inundated villages, continuous monitoring through control rooms and frequent field visits.
He appealed to residents to remain cautious, avoid panic and extend cooperation to the administration.
CM also underlined the urgent restoration of basic services including power supply, drinking water, and road links to ensure early normalization of life in the flood-hit regions. (KNC)
