JAMMU, Sept 2: MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta today reviewed the ongoing restoration of the water pipeline from Sitlee Water Plant to Manda, a crucial project aimed at ensuring uninterrupted water supply to residents of the constituency.
He was accompanied by SE PHE Sunil Gandotra and other senior Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department officials and party leaders during the inspection.
Gupta interacted with PHE officials and labourers engaged at the site and appreciated their commitment in working under tough conditions.
He said access to clean drinking water is a basic right of every resident and stressed the importance of completing the work without delay.
He assured people that the administration is taking all necessary measures to avoid inconvenience and urged residents to extend cooperation to the teams working on ground.
The MLA further said such projects are vital for improving civic amenities and overall quality of life in Jammu West.
He reiterated that timely completion of the pipeline would help address long-standing issues of water shortage in the area and promised to personally monitor the progress until completion.
SE PHE Sunil Gandotra briefed the MLA on technical aspects and the remaining tasks, assuring him that the restoration would be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
