JAMMU, Aug 31: Police in Bakshi Nagar area today claimed they have arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past two years.
Tanish Mehra of House number 191, Ward number 5, Tallab Khatikan, at present Shakti Nagar Jammu was arrested in case FIR number 148/2023 under sections 307, 341, 147, 148, and 120-B of the IPC registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar, a police official said.
But he was evading his arrest since 2023, he said.
Acting on specific information, the accused was arrested by a team of Police Station Bakshi Nagar and presented before a court to decide the future course of action, he added.
