J&K Govt Forms Committee To Examine Regularization Of Special Educators

JAMMU, Aug 27: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has constituted a Screening Committee to examine cases of regularization of ad-hoc and contractual Special Educators in compliance with Supreme Court directions.
The committee will be headed by the Administrative Secretary, School Education Department, with the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, J&K, and a nominee of the Rehabilitation Council of India as members.
The panel will review the cases of teachers working with children with special needs, assess mandatory requirements of the Rehabilitation Council of India, and consider relaxation of age limits where necessary.
The Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, J&K, has been asked to coordinate the committee’s functioning and ensure submission of its report within one month.
