JAMMU, Aug 22: The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jhajjar Kotli area today arrested two long-time absconders and produced them before the relevant courts.
A police official said both were wanted in different criminal cases and warrants under section 512 Cr PC had been issued against them.
He said the first accused, identified as Jamal Din of Gole Gujral, Jammu, was involved in FIR number 68/2016 under sections 188 RPC and 12 PC Act registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
According to him, he had been on the run for the past ten years.
The police official further said the second accused, Roop Lal of Nadala Dera in Samba District was wanted in FIR number 113/2012 under sections 188 IPC, 3/5 PCA Act, and 129/177 MV Act, also registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
He was evading his arrest for the past 15 years, claimed the police official.
Acting on specific information, both the accused were arrested today and the pending warrants were executed.
