JAMMU, Aug 22: BJP leader, Balbir Ram Rattan has expressed concern over the reports of alarming rise in Dengue cases across Jammu region.
In a handout he claimed that a total of 86 confirmed cases of Dengue have been reported in Jammu division since January this year and 10 new cases were reported in the last 48 hours.
Rattan emphasized the need for immediate fogging in vulnerable and densely populated areas particularly in and around stagnant water bodies, drains and residential colonies where mosquito breeding is most likely.
He also stressed on the importance of public awareness and education, urging health and civic authorities to run campaigns educating people about how Dengue mosquitoes breed, the symptoms of Dengue fever and preventive measures.
