JAMMU, Aug 21: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader and MLA from Jammu West Assembly constituency, Arvind Gupta, held a public grievances camp at the party Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
A large number of people, along with deputations from various localities, raised concerns related to civic and developmental issues affecting their daily lives in the camp.
Many deputations highlighted non-functional street lights, irregular drinking water supply, inadequate sanitation, deteriorating lanes and drains, and frequent power outages, among other damages to civic infrastructure and amenities caused by the recent incessant rains. Many people also shared their individual concerns with the MLA on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Arvind Gupta assured that every issue raised will be taken up with the concerned authorities for speedy redressal. He emphasized that BJP, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is committed to reaching the last person in society with improved basic facilities. “The focus of our Government is not only on large-scale projects but also on strengthening civic infrastructure at the grassroots level,” Gupta said.
He further added that development of roads and lanes, upgradation of drainage systems, construction of public sanitation facilities, and reliable electricity and drinking water supply remain top priorities for the constituency. He stressed the importance of upgrading local school buildings, ensuring proper maintenance of public parks, and improving other community amenities to provide a better quality of life to the people.
Gupta reiterated that the BJP stands firmly with the people, especially those living in the most neglected sections of society, and will continue to work tirelessly in line with the Prime Minister’s mission to provide sustainable civic infrastructure and inclusive development.
