JAMMU, Aug 20: Police in Jammu’s Nowabad area today claimed to have arrested an individual who was evading his arrest for the past 32 years.
A police official said Bharat Malhotra of Nai Basti, Jammu, was wanted in case FIR Number 382/92 under Section 4/25 Arms Act registered at Police Station Nowabad but he had been on a constant run for the past 32 years to avoid the clutches of law.
He was arrested today by a team of Police Station Nowabad led by SHO concerned, Inspector Nishant Gupta, and produced before the court of law to decide the future course of action, he said.
