Shake-up in Ladakh administration

LEH, Aug 18: The Union Territory Administration of Ladakh today allocated charge of additional departments to three IAS officers and also ordered transfers and postings of 15 officers, including 13 from the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) with immediate effect.

As per an order, Sanjit Rodrigues, the 2013 batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer has been given the additional charge of Information and Public Relations in addition to Tourism & Culture and Housing & Urban Development.
Similarly, Bhanu Prabha has been assigned the additional charge of Youth Services & Sports along with Higher Education, Technical Education & Skill Development and School Education and Rudra Goud PT will now also look after the department of Power Development and New & Renewable Energy besides Industries & Commerce and Animal/Sheep Husbandry & Fisheries.
Meanwhile, in another order, the Union Territory administration of Ladakh has also ordered a reshuffle, in which several officers including 13 JKAS were transferred and posted in various departments.
As per the order, Dr Zahida Banoo, Special Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Ladakh Subordinate Services Selection Board (LSSSSB), relieving Rigzin Spalgon of the additional charge of the post.
She shall also hold the additional charge of Regional Transport Officer, Ladakh, thereby relieving Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt of the additional charge of the post.
Kunzes Angmo, Director, Tourism, has been transferred and posted as Director, Social and Tribal Welfare, Ladakh, vice Tashi Dolma.
Tashi Dolma, Director, Social and Tribal Welfare, Ladakh, has been transferred and posted as Director, School Education, Ladakh vice Tsering Paldan.
Tsering Paldan, Director, School Education, Ladakh, has been transferred and posted as Director, Tourism, Ladakh, vice Kunzes Angmo.
He shall also hold the additional charge of Additional Registrar Cooperatives, Ladakh, relieving Sajjad Qadri, Director, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Ladakh, of the additional charge of the post.
Mohammad Usman Khan, awaiting orders of adjustment, has been posted as Additional Secretary in the Departments of Agriculture & Horticulture, Transport and Cooperatives vice Ravi Shanker.
Ravi Shanker, Deputy Secretary at UT Secretariat, has been transferred and posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Shakar Chiktan. He shall also hold the additional charge of Tehsildar, Shaker Chiktan in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Sumera Shafi, Under Secretary at UT Secretariat, has been posted as Under Secretary in the Departments of School Education, Higher Education and Youth Services and Sports.
She shall continue to hold the additional charge of Under Secretary in the Departments of Labour & Employment Department and Housing & Urban Development till Atul Singh Mankotia, resumes his duties after availing earned leave.
Atul Singh Mankotia, Under Secretary at UT Secretariat has been posted as Under Secretary in the Departments of Labour & Employment, Housing and Urban Development, Tourism & Culture and Information & Public Relations.
However, he shall assume the charge of his Departments on resuming duties after availing earned leave.
The charge of OSD in the Departments of Tourism & Culture and Information & Public Relations shall be looked after by Dr Stanzin Thackchos, OSD, until Atul Singh Mankotia, assumes charge.
Dr. Stanzin Thackchos, OSD, shall stand relieved from his duties w.e.f. 01.09.2025 at UT Secretariat or till Atul Mankotia, assumes charge whichever is earlier.
He shall report to Administrative Secretary, Animal / Sheep Husbandry & Fisheries Department for further posting.
Nilza Angmo, awaiting orders of adjustment after availing Maternity Leave, has been posted as Under Secretary in the Departments of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction (DMRR&R).
Sanjat Bhardwaj, Tehsildar, Shaker Chiktan with Charge of Sub Divisional Magistrate, Shakar Chiktan has been transferred and posted in the UT Secretariat, as Under Secretary in the Departments of Information Technology and Social and Tribal Welfare.
Mohit Sharma, Under Secretary, at UT Secretariat has been posted as Under Secretary in the Departments of Forest, Ecology and Environment, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Science & Technology.
Imtisaal Rasool, OSD in the Department of Industries & Commerce, has been transferred and posted in the UT Secretariat as Under Secretary in the Departments of Industries and Commerce, Animal / Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries and Power Development & New Renewable Energy.
Jigmet Angchuk, Under Secretary, Ladakh Subordinate Services Selection Board (LSSSSB), shall also hold the additional charge of Under Secretary in the Department of Health and Medical Education, in addition to his own duties.
Abied Hussain, Assistant Director, TE & SD, Ladakh shall function as OSD at UT Secretariat in the Department of Technical Education & Skill Development, in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Dr Asif Hussain, OSD in Lt. Governor’s Secretariat, has been relieved with immediate effect.
He shall report to Administrative Secretary, Animal / Sheep Husbandry & Fisheries, Department for further posting.
