Locals apprise MLA Chadoora of issues

BUDGAM, Aug 17: As part of his public outreach program, MLA Chadoora Ali Mohammad Dar today visited Alamdar Colony, Gopalpora, where he met local residents and heard their concerns.
During the meeting, the MLA assured them that their long-pending demand for a proper drainage system would be addressed on priority.
Dar was invited by the Welfare Committee of Iqbal Lane, Alamdar Bagh Colony, Gopalpora, which apprised him of their grievances, particularly the issue of frequent waterlogging in the area.
The MLA assured residents that he would take up the matter with the Horticulture and Irrigation Ministers at the earliest.
He further assured locals that all colony roads would be blacktopped and potholes repaired in the coming weeks.
On the occasion, Welfare Committee President Abdul Rashid Sofi and General Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat presented a memorandum to the MLA.
Local citizens, including Abdul Rashid Baba, Mohammad Rafiq Khan, Syed Arshad, Mohammad Afzal Bhat, Dr. Mushtaq Khan, Farooq Ahmad Bepari, and others, were also present.
Social activist Dr. Raja Muzaffar, a resident of the area, also apprised the MLA of the problems faced by locals and suggested that he meet the concerned Ministers and senior officers to ensure a proper drainage system is put in place at Alamdar Bagh Colony, Gopalpora, Chadoora.
