JAMMU, Aug 17: Department of Pediatrics, GMC Jammu, in collaboration with Indian Academy of Pediatrics (City Branch Jammu) conducted Intra-collegiate round of 38th IAP UG Quiz.
There were four teams of students that participated in this quiz competition and there were two students in each team. The winning team was Anananya Sharma and Aryush and the runner-up team was Arnav Vivek Gupta and Vanshika Choudhary.
Professor & Head Department of Pediatrics, GMC Jammu, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Digra, said that such quiz competitions are valuable educational tools that enhance learning, critical thinking and build confidence in participants. He particularly mentioned that the undergraduate quiz competitions help the MBBS students to opt for their subject of interest in their post graduation selection and the objective of IAP UG Quiz is to create interest of students in the field of Pediatrics and encourage them to excel in the field.
Professor of Pediatrics, Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma, was the Quiz Coordinator and Assistant Professor Pediatrics, Dr Sanjana Sharma, Dr Mousin Mustafa Batt, Dr Pallavi Sharma, Dr Surjeet Kumar and Pediatrician Dr Ajay Choudhary were amongst the team who conducted proceedings of this event.
Dr Dara Singh, Medical Superintendent, SMGS Hospital, Jammu was the chief guest of this event. He announced the result of this competition and appreciated the participants for their performance.
Amongst the faculty of Department of Pedaitrics Professors Dr Ashu Jamwal, Dr Mohd. Razaq; Associate Professors Dr Anuj Bhatti, Dr Ravi Kumar Parihar, Dr Koushal Kumar; Assistant Professors Dr Rajnesh Kumar, Dr Priyanka Sharma, Dr Raman Sharma, Dr Rajinder Singh and Dr Jaspreet Singh were also present.
