SP Kameshwar Puri among 38 get JKPMGs

JAMMU, Aug 16: The Government has awarded Jammu and Kashmir Police Medals for Meritorious Service (JKPMSMs) to six Police officers on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day.
As per a Home Department order, IG Operations and Services PHQ, Uttam Chand, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua (JSK) Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, SSP Rajinder Kumar Gupta, Deputy Director SKPA Udhampur, SSP Economics Offences Wing Srinagar, Abdul Waheed Shah, DySP Rashid Akhter Makayee, and Inspector Bandeshwar Singh Manhas are among the awardees.

Meanwhile, 38 police officers and officials have been awarded the Jammu and Kashmir Police Gallantry Medals (JKPMGs).
Another order said that SP Kameshwar Puri, DySPs Imtiaz Ahmed, Rahul Nagar and Ashwani Kumar are among the awardees.
While Kameshwar Puri has been awarded the 2nd Bar to JKPMG, DySP Imtiaz Ahmed has been awarded the JKPMG, and DySPs Rahul Nagar and Ashwani Kumar have been awarded the 1st Bar to JKPMG and JKPMG respectively.
The other gallantry medal awardees are SI Fayaz Ahmad Lone (1st Bar to JKPMG), ASI Mohammad Amin Reshi (1st Bar to JKPMG), Head Constable (HC) Zahoor Ahmad Mir (1st Bar to JKPMG), HC Tariq Ahmad Rather (1st Bar to JKPMG), Selection grade Constable Ferooz Mushta Dangroo (JKPMG), Selection grade Constable Viqar Ahmad (JKPMG), Selection grade Constable Javaid Ahmad (JKPMG), HC Mudasir Ahmed (JKPMG), and Selection grade Constable Mohammad Sikander Ganai (JKPMG).
Head Constable Pervaiz Ahmad Shah (JKPMG), Selection grade Constable Manzoor Ahmad (JKPMG), Constable Gh Nabi Khan (JKPMG), HC Mohammad Akther Beg (JKPMG), Constable Naseer Ahmad Najar (JKPMG), ASI Shair Zaman Khan (2nd Bar to JKPMG), HC Mohammad Iqbal Dar (Ist Bar to JKPMG) and HC Mushtaq Ahmad Hari (Ist Bar to JKPMG), HC Tilak Raj (Ist Bar to JKPMG), HC Suresh Kumar (Ist Bar to JKPMG), HC Mohammad Rafiq Khan (JKPMG) are the other awardees.
Besides, Selection grade Constable Shakeel Ahmad Wani (JKPMG), Selection grade Constable Sartaj Ahmad Dar (JKPMG), Selection grade Constable Shahnawaz Nazir Bhat (JKPMG), Selection grade Constable Mukhtar Aalam Bhat (JKPMG), Constable Farhan Khan (JKPMG), Constable Mehraj-ud-Din Bhat (JKPMG), Inspector Ashish Sharma (JKPMG), PSI Rahul Prashar (JKPMG), PSI Swarn Singh Manhas (JKPMG), PSI Arfan Chandel (JKPMG), PSI Ranbher Singh (JKPMG), PSI Gulshan Partap Singh (JKPMG), Constable Kishore Kumar (JKPMG), and Constable Lucky Kumar (JKPMG) have also been awarded the Police Gallantry Awards.
