Pak, US resolve to end all forms of terrorism

ISLAMABAD/WASHINGTON, Aug 13: Pakistan and the United States have reaffirmed their resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms, following bilateral talks on counter-terrorism cooperation.
According to a joint statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, both countries underscored the need for an effective strategy to counter threats posed by groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), ISIS-Khorasan and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Samaa news reported.
The United States acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts and achievements in containing terrorist elements and extended condolences over the loss of lives in recent attacks, including the Jaffar Express bombing and the Khuzdar school bus explosion.
Both sides agreed on the necessity of a joint strategy to prevent the use of modern technology in acts of terrorism.
The statement also highlighted the importance of strengthening institutional frameworks and enhancing capabilities to combat terrorism more effectively.
Pakistan and the United States emphasised the importance of sustained and structured engagement for long-term peace and stability. (UNI)
