HARIDWAR, Aug 9: Patanjali Yogpeeth has come forward to help the disaster hit Dharali region of Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand.
Under the leadership of Patanjali Yogpeeth head, Swami Ramdev and general secretary, Acharya Balkrishan, Patanjali Foods MD, Rambharat dispatched three trucks full of relief materials for Dharali and appealed to the people of the country to come forward to help the people of Dharali in this hour of need.
Speaking on the occasion Swami Ramdev said that nothing can be done for the lost lives in the disaster that hit Dharali but for the 500 families which were worst hit by the calamity, they were sending relief materials including tirpal, utensils, toothpaste, brushes, soaps etc.
He also said that the relief material will also be sent for the disaster victims as per the weather requirements.
Taking a dig at the multinational companies, Swami Ramdev said that these companies earn from our people but in the hour of need they have never come forward to help our people.
He further said that America is threatening the world by tariff and to counter it we should support the Aatm Nirbhar Bharat slogan of PM Modi.
“We should prefer country made things over the foreign materials so that our country becomes self dependent in all respects,” Swami Ramdev maintained.
On this occasion Acharya Balkrishan said on the day of Raksha Bandhan we should pledge to safeguard our sisters and other weaker sections of the society.
He also said that from the day disaster struck Dharali village, Patanjali Yogpeeth was in tough with the Government of Utatrakhand for all types of help.
Earlier, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at Patanjali Yogpeeth and Renu Shrivastav, Sadhvi Devpriya, Dr. Ritembra Shastri, Anshul, Parul and others from Patanjali Gurukulam including students and Sadhvis tied Rakhi over the wrists of Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishan.
