RAJOURI, Aug 8: With the arrest of accused, the police claimed to have solved a theft case in Kandi area of Rajouri district today.
Reports said on the complaint of a villager, Mohd Shaboir, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Kotranka (Kandi) that during the intervening night of August 5/6, 2025, unknown thief/thieves broke open the lock of his house and decamped with one sheep and some cash.
On this, a case FIR No. 100/2025 under sections 331(4)/305 BNS was registered at Police Station Kandi and investigation taken up.
Acting swiftly Police team of Police Station Kandi rounded up a suspect Barket Hussain, son of Manir Hussain, resident of Hubbi in Rajouri, who during sustained questioning admitted his involvement in the crime. On his disclosure the stolen sheep and cash were recovered.
