BHADERWAH, Aug 6: In preparation for the upcoming annual Kailash Yatra, the District Development Council (DDC) Chairman of Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal and Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh jointly conducted a comprehensive review of the arrangements being made for the smooth and safe conduct of the religious pilgrimage.
The DDC Chairman emphasized the importance of proper coordination among all stakeholders to ensure that pilgrims face no inconvenience during the Yatra.
He directed the departments to ensure adequate facilities, including drinking water, sanitation, medical aid, transportation and security arrangements. Special focus was laid on maintaining cleanliness along the Yatra route and providing proper signage and resting points for devotees.
Key instructions included ensuring an uninterrupted water supply, carrying out essential electrical repairs, timely procurement of firewood and upgrading infrastructure at critical points along the Yatra route. Health authorities were asked to deploy two medical teams equipped with oxygen support, along with a mobile medical unit from the Kellar side to cater to the pilgrims.
The event witnessed the esteemed presence of SSP Doda Sandeep Kumar Mehta, DDC Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Bhagat, ADC Bhaderwah Sunil Bhutyal, ASP Bhaderwah, CEO BDA, Executive Engineer PDD Doda, Executive Engineer R&B Bhaderwah, Tehsildars of Bhaderwah and Bhalla, BDOs of Bhaderwah and Bhalla, DFO Bhaderwah and BMO Bhaderwah.
