JAMMU, Aug 5: A youth lost his life in a tragic road accident in Akhnoor area today.
As per police sources, the deceased, identified as Sohan Lal son of Gabo Ram of Daskal, was riding a scooter towards Jourian when he reportedly lost control over the vehicle near a bridge at Jadh area, and hit a road divider.
They said the youth died on-the-spot.
While the body of the deceased youth has been shifted to the mortuary of a local hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, a case FIR number 136/2025 under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation taken up, sources said.
