JAMMU, Aug 5: In a strange incident reported from Prem Nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Peer Mittha here, unidentified thieves made off with the new tyres of a parked car and left the old ones near the vehicle.

Yasir, the owner of the vehicle, who is originally a resident of Doda district, and is currently putting up at Gujjar Nagar area, said he parked his Alto car (JK06B-4387) at Prem Nagar late on Monday evening.
Around 7:50 AM today, he was informed by some known people that three tyres and a stepney of his vehicle have been stolen and four old tyres have been kept near the vehicle.
However, Yasir had not lodged a formal complaint with the police by the time of filing of this report, police had launched an investigation into the matter.
