JAMMU, Aug 4: Power Development Department today extended the amnesty scheme for domestic consumers for the period ending March 31, 2026.

According to the order in this regard, sanction has been accorded to the extension of amnesty in favour of the domestic consumers granted vide Government order number 103-PDP of 2022, dated 12-09-2022 read with Government order number 47-JKPDD of 2024, dated 15-03-2024 for the period ending March 31, 2026.
The extension subjects to same terms and condition as mentioned in the earlier order of amnesty accept that 100 percent waiver of interest and surcharge is allowed in respect of outstanding amount as on March 31, 2025.
The order also reads that there shall be no further extension of the amnesty.
