Samba police rescues 11 bovines, seizes vehicle

SAMBA, Aug 4: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba police has foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba and rescued 11 bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers. The vehicle used in the illegal transportation of bovines has been seized.
Acting on information received from reliable sources, a team of Police Station Samba while performing vehicle checking duty intercepted a dumper bearing Registration Number JK08C-2906 at Kehli Mandi Chowk near Government Boys Middle School Samba. During checking of the vehicle, eleven bovines were found inside the vehicle which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally.
A case FIR No.204/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
