JAMMU, Aug 1: Mission Shakti District Hub For Empowerment Of Women Jammu Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Child Development Project Officers ,Mission Poshan and their dedicated staff, successfully organised a week-long awareness and enrollment cum outreach drive under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY).
The drive was conducted at various Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) across multiple locations in Jammu district, including Old Janipur, Bishnah, Satraiyan (R.S. Pura), Arjan Kotli (R.S. Pura), Lower Shiv Nagar and Nagrota.
The initiative aimed to spread awareness about maternal health, nutrition, and the benefits of PMMVY while ensuring the enrollment of all eligible beneficiaries. Community women and local residents actively participated in the sessions, where the Mission Shakti officials and CDPO officials provided guidance on availing the benefits of the scheme.
Mission Shakti officials stated that such outreach programs play a crucial role in ensuring that Government welfare schemes reach the grassroots level and empower women across the district.
