SAMBA, July 31: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Samba police has seized seven vehicles including six dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Ghagwal, in charge of Police Posts (PP) Supwal and Mansar of PS Samba and in charge Police Post (PP) Rajpura of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized six dumpers bearing registration Numbers JK21G-9922, JK21F-6718, JK08M-0630, JK08P-8799, JK08F-1273, JK21G-7327 and a tractor trolley bearing Registration Number JK21A-0291 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
These vehicles have been seized by Samba police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
