JAMMU, July 30: In a prompt action, the Police Station Gandhi Nagar today successfully traced a missing person reported earlier this week and ensured his safe return to his family.
The person identified as Vishal Bhagat, S/o Yash Lal Bhagat, R/o House No. 517, Nai Basti, Jammu, was reported missing on 27/07/2025 and a missing report was registered at PS Gandhi Nagar vide DDR No. 17.
Upon receiving the report, the police team at Gandhi Nagar immediately swung into action.
Under the close supervision of SDPO South and SP South, search efforts were initiated which included the collection of information from family members and acquaintances, scanning of CCTV footage from surrounding areas and outreach to local networks.
Due to the persistent and professional efforts of the officers, Vishal Bhagat was successfully located and traced today, i.e., 30/07/2025.
After due verification, he has been safely handed over to his family.
Necessary legal formalities and documentation have been completed at the police station.
