JAMMU, July 30: In a significant crackdown on the illegal sale of hazardous kite-flying materials, the IC BPP Sandhwan, ASI Raj Singh Bhau and his team have arrested one person and recovered a large quantity of banned gattu thread.
A case FIR No. 171/2025 U/S 223 stands registered in police station, Domana.The accused, identified as Labbu Ram, son of the late Bodh Raj and a resident of Ward No. 3, Ghou Manhasan, was apprehended with 140 rolls of gattu thread a material known for its dangerous properties and marking a major recovery in the area.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Labbu Ram was distributing the banned thread through discreet mobile-based orders, attempting to evade law enforcement and public scrutiny.
