JAMMU, July 29: Renowned gastroenterologist Dr Shoket Chowdhary participated in the prestigious ENDOCON-2025, held in Jaipur from July 25 to 27.
ENDOCON is the annual flagship event of the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (GIE) India, bringing together leading gastroenterologists and endoscopists from across the globe to share scientific advancements, technological innovations, and expert insights in the field.
Dr Chowdhary was selected as an expert board member tasked with formulating national guidelines for the use of sedation in endoscopic procedures—an important step towards standardizing practices across India. The board held its inaugural meeting during the event.
In addition to his board responsibilities, Dr Chowdhary delivered a technical talk on the “Basics of Electrosurgical Units” used in advanced endoscopic procedures. His session was well-received for simplifying a complex subject and highlighting its practical applications.
He also chaired two lectures delivered by gastroenterology stalwarts—Dr Joseph from CMC Vellore and Dr Kothari from the USA—further contributing to the academic significance of the event.
