PUNJAB, July 25: Desh Bhagat University (DBU) has appointed Prof Tito Ganju as Emeritus Professor and inducted him into its Academic Advisory Board.
The university, accredited with NAAC A+ and 12B status, announced the appointment in an official statement on Monday.
It said the board comprises experts from academics, research, industry, and public service, and guides the university’s academic and research direction.
Prof Ganju brings over 30 years of experience in higher education and public discourse.
He is known for his contributions to intellectual history, cultural studies, and policy thinking, and has earlier served in various teaching and advisory roles.
The university said his presence will strengthen curriculum planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research-led academic development.
His appointment was welcomed by academic peers as a step towards promoting independent thought and institutional growth.
