SAMBA, July 18: The labourers of Bharat Box Factory (BBF), Samba today held protest and warned the Government to launch agitation if their pending salaries are not released at the earliest.
The protestors raised slogans against the management of the factory and urged the Government to intervene in the matter.
They said that on one side the Government is organizing the employment fair to mitigate the problems of unemployment in the State and on the other hand, the labourers and employees of private sector are facing many problems to which the Government is not paying any heed.
They appeals to State Government to look into the matter and redress their pending salary issue at the earliest.
“If our pending salaries are not released at the earliest, they we will launch agitation against the Government and for any untoward incident, the Government will be responsible”, they warned.
The protestors also met Minister for Planning, Labour and Employment Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and apprised him about their pending salaries for the past over 10 months.
